Featured Photos and a Gift...

Sunset at the pond early last week...

Sarvis or Service Berry along the trail this week...

Poppy from last year's garden...

Carolina Buckeye from last year's garden..

It is my observation that the hummingbirds will come when the Buckeye blooms.

Kathy from https://calicoandbuttons.blogspot.com/ sent a surprise in the mail this week that I just must share here.  To more accurately capture the colors of her beautifully hand dyed cloth and threads of this oh-so-lovely knot bag, I took it outside to photograph.

A great big wow on all her lovely stitches!  Does she ever inspire me!  Thank you, Kathy!  (And no, I didn't go on up the trail, leaving this beautiful bag hanging on a tree!)

Love all of the colors. The sunset photo is wonderful. I needed to see some flowers blooming. I would never have picked the colors in the bag, but I love it! Especially with the stitching. Thanks for sharing.

What a beautifully happy bag! Is it just me or do I see all the colors of your photos (oranges and blues of the sky at sunset, reds of the serviceberry, blush of the poppy and buckeye and greens of the foliage) in her wonderful hand-dyed fabrics?

Lovely garden/shrub/flower photographs.
There is such a lot of detailed work in that bag.

Your photo's are amazing as always. Wow, to Kathy on her creativity on the knot bag...wonderful choice of colors and creative hand stitches. She knew just the right choice to gift you.

Kathy's bags and other stitching projects she does are so beautiful! Your weather is so much ahead of ours, but we had 2 days of 70's and today it's mid-sixties, so I'm very happy. We got a lot of yard work done. Hoping my poppies will be coming from the seeds you gave me.
