2023 Photo of the Year

Other Favorites...

The Trail in Spring...

Millie and I walked up and over this old hill every day of 2023.  Now, here's to 2024....

Reading 20 pages per day is

30 books per year.

Saving $10 per day is $3650 per year.

Running (or walking) 1 mile per day is

365 miles per year.

Don't underestimate.

the power of small habits.

Be still now.  The light is returning.

Release the old year and turn

your face toward the new one,

with all its possibilities.  Get quiet.

Listen to your heartbeat.

Find your peace.

Your wintry photo of the year is stunning, Mary. All the others too, are beautiful. I rather love the photo of the butterfly on the flower. May your new year be filled with many more glorious shots of the beautiful countryside which surrounds you.

All spectacular photographs, but the shots of red in the white landscape make your photo of the year really special. Happy 2024. Janice.

I love that "don't under estimate small habits". For half of this year I have been attending a couple of exercise classes every week, it has made a huge difference to my well being. I hope to add another class per week in 2024. Happy New Year.

The owl and the backyard are my favorites. I liked your at the end comments on one mile a day is 365 miles. I have sure enjoyed your blog. Can't wait to see what the new year brings.

Ah loved this post...especially the walking trail that you and Millie travel. Your routine mirrors mine as I walk my girl Kelsey. Is it not wonderful that we have angels on four paws that keep us in shape. :)!! Have a blessed New Year. Hugs!

Such lovely photos and words...you're so right, small steps make a big difference - I will keep that in mind. And thanks for stopping by my blog...you're right, the ballet was so pretty, and with my daughter being a ballet dancer, it makes it special...the old theater was something to see! Good wishes for this new year!

Such a lovely post - filled with some beautiful photos. I've never thought of reading 20 pages a day equalling 30 books in a year but good to know. Here's to a wonderful year, filled with small habits that add up to big ones.

Your photo of the year is full of feeling -- I would love to put on all my warmest clothes and stand on the edge of that scene.

Thank you for good advice and exhortations <3
