What Goes On Here Stays Here...

What goes on here, stays here...here on this blog, that is.  My other blog is just a nuisance where I don't seem to have time to go.  I am thinking it may be time to say goodbye to Linnie Butts & Co.  I have already taken steps in that direction but have ninety days before it is permanently deleted, just in case I should change my mind.  But, not to worry, for it will all fit right here under one roof at our beloved Hilltop Post, so we'll not have to go wandering from here to yonder.

From the barn lot...

To the Studio...(aka The Sewing Room)

Or to somewhere in between...

The photo below, Getting Together To Sew,"  was the last one to be posted on my other blog, Linnie Butts & Co..  I had been playing around with some photo editing features where I discovered Edge Sketching, which I am thinking might be a handy tool when drawing or sculpting.  It really drives home the importance of each humble little line.

I even tried edge sketching Millie, but her lines aren't so well defined.

Thanks for stopping by on this oh-so-hot day.  It's a scorching 103 f .
Until next time,
Mary

I was just telling my husband it feels like fall outside this evening. We have had just the most wonderful weather no complaints here. I hate the heat.

That might be easier for you to have everything in one blog-takes time but you can transfer your posts to here I think.
I would not have a clue on how to do the program you are showing-loving the large chair in your sewing room. we were 104 yesterday I think today 102 or 3 either way it is too hot and humid here. haha I have been reading most of today
and we almost had a catastrophy here yesterday-more about that later. hugs from the lake

I didn't see a way to contact you from the comment you made on MY blog since you seem to be a NO REPLY blogger. I've put your blog on my left sidebar and was amazed at your dollmaking skills. If you've followed my blog you know I used to be a dollmaker too. It sadly became a job and not do what I enjoy. Hope you can either fix your no-reply situation or send me an email with your email address.

103 is entirely too hot, I hope you have some relief soon. I like your plan to move Linnie and her sisters to your main blog. I'll admit I was forgetting to click over there if you didn't mention it in your posts, and I so love seeing your creations and hearing about their escapades.

I can't imagine having two blogs because it's hard enough to keep up with one. You probably won't regret your decision.
Never heard of Edge Sketching but it does give an interesting effect.
Try to stay cool - perhaps joining Millie in that pond might be just the thing.

Oooooo! I love the edge sketching of the lady in slacks with the dog. 103°! Yeow!
I have 3 other discontinued blogs. Now only use one. Please don't 'fix' it so we cannot see your girls and their outfits! A blog combination sounds just perfect.

Heat index here predicted to be 110°-115° this weekend. I'm ready for our winter months.

I enjoyed your photos and photo manipulations today. And yes, I understand having two blogs (my personal and bird photography). It can be time consuming & I think you have a great idea combining them to one!!

Stay cool!!

Oh MY. That would be way too hot for me!!
I'm glad Linnie Butts and friends are not going to disappear.
Stay cool if you can.

There have been times when 1 blog was more than I could handle and I do not have the other time commitments you do. Do you need to actually delete the blog or can't you just leave it inactive? Deleting it seems so permanent in case you decide to go back to it sometime. Heaven knows my blog sat gathering dust for long periods of time....and I actually have a second blog that I set up at the same time as my main blog but have never posted there. Now THAT is something I should delete. Stay cool. We got some heat this afternoon and then the wind stilled...and yikes it got warm. Not 100º+ hot, but hot for us. It must be miserable. ~Robin~

Oh my, that's a bit warm... I'm headed north to my daughter's next week and I just now looked a the forecast, to find that it's expected to be in the 90's or 100 throughout my visit. Hard not to droop in that climate.... a siesta is good.

Your pictures are wonderful, like always! I would never understand things like Edge Sketching. I love the one of the Heron. Amazing! Gathering to sew is the sweetest thing. I still can sit and look in amazement at each of your dolls. It has been hot here too. Sounds like it may be hot everywhere. We have been around 98 degrees with high humidity.

Hi Mary - thanks so much for stopping by to visit me. I adore your edge sketching. It makes me think of pen and ink drawings and silverpoint etchings. I do think it is easier to manage just one blog.

At one point I had considered separating into two but think it is best to just keep everything under "one roof". I love visiting your blog. Hope you have a great weekend. Hugs!

Wow! Try to stay cool. How you can run two blogs is amazing to me. One is enough. Especially when things slow down for the winter. I'm sure it will be sad to see it go. We all put so much of ourselves into these posts.
