The Blessings of a Rainy Day...

It was a different world out there this morning.  The earth seemed refreshed.  There were no dusty cattle trails to follow, and the summer tanager was singing his sweet song.  I really have no other words today.  I am humbled and so very thankful for the blessing of a rainy day.  There really is magic in the water.  I hope it is raining on you too!

I'm singing in the rain
Just singing in the rain
What a glorious feelin'
I'm happy again
I'm laughing at clouds
So dark up above
The sun's in my heart
And I'm ready for love
Let the stormy clouds chase
Everyone from the place
Come on with the rain
I've a smile on my face
I walk down the lane
With a happy refrain
Just singin'
Singin' in the rain.

We are in extreme drought here in California. Rain would indeed be such a blessing. It's become so serious that I believe if I were a young person, I would leave here.

A rainy day can be a blessing indeed. I love the warmth of the sun on my face and it seeping in my bones but, unlike most, I need moody, cloudy, rainy days to recharge my soul. ~Robin~

The rainy day for you is so very welcome to nourish all the land you love. We are dry here but at least no flooding and washouts. I truly believe we are where we are meant to be.

I like your journal page for the day. I'd sure love a rainy day here but not just yet it seems. I'm glad you got one though.

No rain here. Right now we have Saharan dust blowing into our area.

After a nearly month long drought in June we at first welcomed the rains of July. We've had more than enough rain at this point with severe flooding in the eastern part of the state. I wish I had been motivated to sew during some of the rainy afternoons; instead I 'holed up' with books.

We used to take rain for granted but not anymore. It seems the entire earth is suffering from weather extremes and it often seems to be either over-the-top or complete famine. I'm glad you got a nice rain.

I love seeing your art in paint. I do hope this will be an every day project for you. Perhaps it has been for quite a while, and you are just now beginning to show the world? Whatever may be-you must keep showing us. You have captured the moment so well.

Your journal page is just perfect! You make me want a real journal. :) You do beautiful artwork, and that first picture, it looks like a painting. Glad you got the rain. We were so dry for so long we worried that the pond would dry up. Now the rains come every day. Mushrooms everywhere and grass too tall and wet to mow.

Finally, the rain falls, and makes life so much more pleasant.
Love the song, I sing it often to my great-granddaughter lol

I so love that movie! Wish it would rain here, but not the floods like in other parts of the country. Janice
